Before we can walk the road to health and respect for our bodies we must first start with the words of Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
So let us do this today, seek Him in prayer, in worship, think about what we know of Him, thank Him for all the things He has lavished upon us, ask Him to change us from the inside out. Let us pray for each other that on the journey to physical health the Lord will heal our hearts and unite them to His.
Absolutely true. It’s a fine line between honouring God with our bodies and making our bodies one of our idols. Motives can be sneaky. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? (Jer. 17:9) The other thing is that physical un-health usually has some sort of spiritual root contributing. Just a thought.
